Field Tank Construction
New Tank Construction – Multi Tank New Construction
Six 10,000 bbl tanks required completion in a compressed schedule. Working with operations a revolving schedule was developed to accommodate continuous construction and mitigate schedule loss with the challenging climate conditions, including severe winter conditions and consistent high winds. Three tanks required full internal coating and special insulated tarps were sourced to allow for cold weather application.
Project Highlights:
- Anchored storage tank design with an internal design pressure of 1 PSI
- Three completely internally coated tanks, and three tanks with floor and 3’-3” of shell coating
- External rafter design on three tanks
- Aggressive weather conditions including consistently high winds
- Project Size: 42’-6” Diameter x 40’-0” High
- Project Type: New Construction
- Completion Date: January 2018
- Service: Condensate and Produced Water Tanks
