Field Tank Construction
New Tank Construction – Skid Supplied Foundations
Due to environmental conditions at site Elite worked with their client to fabricate structural steel skids for tank foundations in lieu of traditional concrete or gravel bases. Fabricated in sections in the shop, shipped to site and welded in place on piles, these bases were a great alternative and created a perfectly level surface to construct the tanks. Two 10,000 bbl tanks were constructed following installation of the skids structures.
Project Highlights:
- Two pre-fabricated base skids, installed in the field completed with top plate
- Internal double wrap heat coil designed to ABSA with partial registration
- Complete CWB stairs and platforms for tank access
- Project Size: 42’-6” Diameter x 40’-0” High
- Project Type: New Construction
- Completion Date: July 2015
- Service: Condensate and Produced Water Tanks
